About the studio
We make games land in Asia — without losing what made them yours.
Save Load Production is a Hong Kong board game studio. We design, localize, consult on and publish tabletop games — and we work directly with publishers and creators who want their titles to reach players across Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan and the wider region.
Hong Kong is the advantage. It is a compact, bilingual market that sits between Western and Asian tabletop scenes, with short lines to manufacturing, distribution and the players themselves. For an overseas publisher, that means one partner who can read your rulebook in English, edit it in 中文 and 日本語, and tell you how it will actually play on a table in this part of the world.

Why a Hong Kong studio
We don't design from a desk.
Alongside the studio we run our board game store, Slash All. Most evenings we watch real players open a rulebook, get hooked, get stuck, and come back the next week. That frontline view tells us which mechanics land, which themes spark conversation, and where a good game quietly loses new players.
We bring that same eye to your title. Before we localize a word, we know how it plays. And because we have direct relationships with partners in Japan and Taiwan, we can take a Western game into those markets without it feeling translated — it feels made for the table it lands on.
