Floria (翠緑のフローリア) — Chinese Edition

The brief

Floria (翠緑のフローリア) is a tabletop RPG from the Japanese doujin circle Phantasm Space (六畳間幻想空間). Bringing it into Traditional Chinese meant two firsts for us at once: working directly with Japanese creators on a rights deal, and handling a full TRPG system rather than a self-contained board game.

A TRPG is a different animal from a boxed board game. There is no fixed end state to localize against — there is a ruleset: character creation, resolution mechanics, scenarios and the tone that holds it all together. Every one of those has to read naturally and play cleanly in the target language.

What we did

• Direct licensing — we negotiated the Traditional-Chinese rights directly with the original creators, building the kind of creator-to-creator relationship that makes a faithful edition possible.
• Ruleset localization — translating and adapting the system so it plays the way the authors intended, not just reads correctly.
• Production & crowdfunding — preparing the Chinese edition for launch on Zeczec (嘖嘖), Taiwan’s crowdfunding platform, in mid-2026.

Why it matters

Floria marks the point where our service range grew from board games into TRPGs, and from Hong Kong out to the wider Traditional-Chinese market via Taiwan. For a Japanese creator, it shows we can carry a doujin project across a language and a border while keeping its character intact. For a Western or Japanese publisher eyeing Chinese-language markets, it shows we handle the whole path — rights, ruleset and route to backers — not just a translation file.
